So Ladies and Gentlemen, we're on to part deuce of Retro Punk, yes?  Let's get in to it...

This time, lets start with the gentlemen... Just being honest, it's very hard to pinpoint this style in the African American community when it comes to our men...  Its going to be VERY hard for you guys to do it.  You have to play this one JUST right...  Sorry but just being honest?  Chris Brown is one of the few black guys who can do the punk look well...  So here are a few pix...

Classic '50s Punk

Now men, because of who we (Black) are, we can not so much do the original punk look without being talked about in our community, it just doesn't work that way...  Leather biker jackets are GOOD look for the spring season, for this trend...*

Now, Ladies!
The Punk look is way more easy for us to accomplish than our counterparts...  And we also have a few choices to do so- Glam Punk, Lolita Punk, Retro Punk..  Let's dive into a few of those styles to show what's appropriate...

*Glam Punk*

Let's get into this look!  This is one of the easiest looks in the Glam Punk trend.  Very matchy matchy, very simple, yet you STILL stand out.  Any chick can do this, no matter your size..  Make sure to pay attention to the small details, meaning take a close look at the purse, earrings, ring, and belt.  They all have what in common? GOLD!!!  The small detail of gold all tie in the one huge piece which is the purse.  That is how you work this fashion.  Let me give you ladies a FEW more examples of Glam Punk, and then we can move on..

Now this one is a bit more tricky.  Almost every piece needs to be punk. Now, most definitely pay attention to ALL of the accessories.  The earrings match the shirt, the bracelets match the belt, which match the shoes.  I have a very similar outfit to this one!  Hmmmm.... Now I want to wear it! Tomorrow it is! LOL! And Though I clowned some chicks for the Blazer Gang, a blazer is a GREAT piece to own, Ladies! GET ONE! A Black one, goes with EVERYTHING... One more thing about this one- pair a great animal print clutch with this, and it will set it off! Such as...

H&M has GREAT accessories.  My Atlanta people, you all know all about H&M.  My Birmingham peeps?  Take a trip to Atlanta... And they are NOT expensive... This purse will go great with the above outfit.  One more pic of this trend and on to the next!

Lolita Punk trend is VERY similar to Harajuku Punk...  OMG, I know I have to put my people on to some things...  I know a lot of you are reading this like " Uh, Whhhhhaaaaaaa?"  YES, we can do this one too!  Now, granted, this one is usually only done by Japanese, but hey!  I've seen quite a few pieces that I will rock the hell out of!!!  Here we go!

Chris Breezy... Sex Symbol? New Fashion icon? What do you think?

So ladies, what do you all think?  What do you feel about Chris Brown's fashion now a days?  I feel that he has REALLY stepped it up from when he first came out.  breezy is on his grown man ish as of lately which is quite sexy to see!  Whoever his stylist is, for the most part, they should be commended for a job well done.  Now we CAN all agree that the blonde hair color was NOT a smart move on his part, but I doubt that his stylist had ANYTHING to do with that, but its not an all together bad look on him, because it blends with his skin

*Can YOU Do Retro Punk?* pt 1

So, an "in" look for Spring 2011 is Punk... Now, I'm a little skeptical about seeing this because not everyone can pull this off.  I know I CAN pull it off, but not everyone.  Now, do my southern belles and southern gentlemen truly know what Punk Chic' is?  I'm not sure everyone does, so let's break this down and give examples...

The combat boot for women is VERY popular right now!  And they can be Oh-So-Cute! IF done correctly... Here is a perfect example of one of the cutest combat boots I've seen to date... These are an example of at least the footwear done right... Here are a few more...

Ok, I think you all get the idea... These examples are cute as hell!  It's grungy WITH a purpose, with a style!  Not your dad's old army boots that he wore in Desert Storm... LOL!  Now for the men, it can get a little tricky because of the boot.  You CAN NOT just pick up any boot, and think that you are in style gentlemen *shaking my head* Oh no!  Let me be sure to give you some examples of GREAT combat boots for you all as well...

Martini's 3/12/2011 WoWWWWW!!!

Soooooo.... Saturday night was a big event at Martini's (shout out to Malek-Happy Birthday boi!) But as I said it was a big event- Malek's Pisces All Star Bash with guest host Nene Leakes from Atlanta Housewives.... There was a lot of FASHION to partake in! 

There was alot of blazer wearing, and I don't mean from the men!  Now, I have no problem with a great blazer, because hey! I have a favorite black one I wear from time to time myself... But when you come to an ADULT club, your WHOLE ENTIRE crew should NOT be wearing a blazer... OMG!  It makes no sense for a group of 5+ chicks to walk across the dance floor ALL wearing blazers... Ok, on to the next!

Now... I saw one of the SADDEST displays of fucked up fashion, and for some reason, she continuously danced by me!  she was like 4'11, round and plump, had the worst weave of the night ( long synthetic jet black tangle hair down her back with uneven bangs), and the fasion faux pas? (and yes people, that IS how you spell it, but I know you all think it's fashion fopa!)  She had on a pleather tube dress that had a single gold zipper that went up the front, and was two sizes too small.  AND she had back boobs!  It was a mess, and her friends let her come out of the house like that!  All I could say all night about her was WHAT THE FUCK!!!???
